Help Problem with a Galaxy Ace

I have recently dug out an old Samsung Galaxy Ace running on Gingerbread, problem is that I cant sign into the Google Market as the app apparently dosen't meet modern security standards, this means I cant update any of the apps and am kind of stuck without any modern apps. Does anyone know a way around this security feature? If I knew just what version number of the market/play store would work I could download the apk from somewhere, I tried the latest version but obviously that didnt work.

I googled a little bit and learned that Galaxy Ace can be updated to Jellybean why don't you try that.

Yea I read that as well but when I plugged it into Kies it said it already had the latest firmware, I assume the network never went for it in the UK
