problem with Calendar

Hi all,

My wife and I just got GS3s yesterday. We've been using Google calendar for a while on our laptops and synced it with the preloaded calendar app on the phone. Events are displaying correctly in calendar but when we go to edit them times are displayed in utc (gmt-0) time. (But they show up correctly on the day view in our current time zone (central). In edit, I can change the time to central, but it doesn't update the time displayed, it keeps it at the initial utc time. It seems like this is only happening for one-time events. Recurring events dont seem to have this problem. Here's an example:

Apt X 8:30am-9:30am on July 30 shows up fine on the overview screen with the week or day selected. Detail view shows the following:

apt X
central time
8:30am-9:30am july 30

UTC
1:30pm-2:30pm july 30

Recurring events show the same as above without the UTC line.

if I click on that top box to edit the time it shows the time zone as (gmt+0) UTC and event from 1:30pm-2:30pm. I can click the time zone box and switch to central, but it still leaves the time from 1:30pm-2:30pm.

I've checked the event in google calendar on my lap top and made sure that I have all the correct time zones selected both on the phone and on google calendar. Also, this problem happens for both our phones.

This is very frustrating to have to calculate the time zone offset when changing times. Any help would be very helpful.

I haven’t had that problem except for the time zone change tripping up a couple years ago, but I would try a power off/on, just to be sure.
