Help Problem with car dock / vehicle mount

First I want to say the dock is pretty cool (this is my first android phone, so sorry if I'm a little behind ) I like the dock mode. Its a nice feature to have.

Background: The dock plugs into the micro usb charger and respectfully, has its own micro usb port for plugging in your micro usb car adapter. The problem is that it doesnt work. The car adapter works plugged straight into my phone, but it does not work when plugged into car dock/vehicle mount (which is then plugged into my phone.

Has anyone else had this problem or know of a solution?

I have not had any issues with mine. It sounds like you have successfully isolated your problem, I would try replacing the dock.
