Help Problem with ES File Explorer

Android Expert
I have an HTC 10 with Android 7.0 from Verizon. I can send files to other phones, but no matter which phone or which version I use, I cannot receive files. The connection is broken by my "10" and I don't know why. I am using and older version of ES because I don't like what they pulled with the newest versions. I don't believe its the version because I've used newer and older versions on the other phones without success. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I use WiFi File Explorer android app to sent files from phone to phone or computer to phone. It's just as fast as sending files by cable. You start the app and it gives you an HTTP address. You type in the address on the computer browser (for example) and get the main directory of the phone. Pick the folder you want to put files into, open the folder on the computer you want to move files from and just drag and drop.at the "Drop Here" box.

Thanks, I use a similar app to send files from phone to PC. (Wifi Droid) But actually, you just made me think. I can do the same from phone to phone by using my web browser on one of the phones. Thanks a lot for kick starting my brain.
