Help Problem with Exchange syncing after last VZW update**Fixed with latest update***

Hard to explain but when I open an e-mail on my computer it would show open instantly on my phone. And vise versa. Or if I wanted to change a e-mail to "un-read" or something like that. The phone and computer were in perfect harmony. Not anymore. Since the last Verizon update it is all screwed up now. My computer will have zero new e-mails but my phone shows 6 or 7 (or any number really). And I have to scroll through and click on the unopened ones to close them to clear my counter. Before this update it was perfect. Sometimes a slight delay but not like this. Right now my computer has zero unopened e-mails. My G4 is showing 10


Is this happening to anyone else???? I guess I should say I use exchange type e-mail at work and is what i'm talking about on my phone. meaning I don't know if this is happening in Gmail or anything else(I rarely use those other ones). And it did happen the second after the last update. I think I remember seeing the change log saying "Better syncing abilities with e-mail"??? But I could be wrong on that

How about this instead? Do you guys know how or if I can get rid of my last update? Delete it somehow? revert back maybe it's called?
 
No, you are not alone. I had to abandon the app altogether and start using Outlook app because of the issues with messages just simply disappearing from my Exchange inbox in the stock email app and never syncing correctly beyond that. No such issues with the Outlook app but it takes a little getting used to if you have been using the stock one for a while. If you don't want to switch, try clearing all the cache and data, removing and re-doing your account again. It might help.
 
I am so happy you said that. I thought it was just me. I can't believe how many people DON'T use exchange. But it has become unusable now. Haven't been able to use my phone to check e-mail for months. And I don't know about you but sometimes that is more important than calls. I will check out the Outlook app. I didn't even realize there was one?

Some people have to use exchange for work. On the Outlook app, the swipe gesture settings are a bit trigger happy and is is a tad bit quirky, but at least the messages are there and seem to sync properly for the most part. Since I use Nova launcher I don't see the unread count anyway but notices come through on the lock screen just fine. Anyway it will have to do for now.
 
I don't know about you guys but an update just popped up on my G4. Downloaded and the e-mail sync problem is fixed!!!!!

I don't see anything about this update anywhere though. I'm on Verizon. Did anyone else get it?

but either way Exchange is fixed. For those of us that HAVE to use it for work this is great.
