Help problem with fastboot of new factory image

Greetings, may I again beg for your help, please?

I encountered a serious error while flashing Nexus 6P factory image angler-opm6.171019.030.e1. Things were proceeding normally until the laptop froze during "sending sparse 'system' 1/5 (482756 KB)..." after which it lost keyboard, mouse and network connectivity. After a very long wait, there was no solution but to power-cycle it.

When (non-wipe) flashing the factory image for the second time and subsequent times, I encounter the following problem between "#########". Even if I attempt a -w "wipe", a different error occurs:

It looks like I'm dead in the water here with no usable phone for the work week, so again I beg for your help, please. I've attached results for both a wipe (-w) invocation and a non-wipe, where "-w" was removed from flash-all.sh.

Hi @hstroph I moved this to the Nexus 6P forum

I flashed an earlier 7.1 factory image which installed successfully, got into the bootloader before the reboot occurred, then re-flashed 8.1 successfully. The desktop, all apps and contacts restored to previous condition.
