problem with flip clock

I've been using the HTC flip clock with the weather on it and I have noticed that it never flips. When the time changes it just automatically switches and doesn't flip like some say it supposedly does. Anyone have some problems like that or anyone know how to fix it?

HTC removed the animation from the clock widget during an update back in late September or early October 2009. Apparently it was a battery drainer and a performance succubi. From what I have read, many missed the animation, but most agreed that the performance gained from its removal was much more important.

That's weird if that was removed in October then that means it was removed before the Eris came out. The stuff I have been reading from different people here and there has been sounding like their clocks have been flipping. I guess that's all in their heads. Thanks for the heads up.
