Odd, the model number for an AT&T cappy SGH-I897 the samsung vibrant is GT-I9000. Also Froyo 2.2 build number shpuld be FROYO.UCKB1. Kernal is right though. Also your baseband should be I897uckb1.

It appears like you are trying to run Vibrant on the Captivate. I would recomend to use Odin to flash back to 2.1 and then Keis to go to 2.2. That may solve your problem.

No problem! Not sure on the language I would have to look it up. As far as going to 2.2, you need to download the Keis program from Samsung and the drivers as well. Once it is installed just open Keis and connect your phone. One of the USB options on the phone that will appear will be for Keis. Once that is selected Keis will show the update available and you click go. Just like that
