problem with gallery

I have a problem with my gallery after opening gallery it automatically closes. I can't view images or videos I thought to restore my phone but that will delete all apps and data.
i m not able to find gallery in applications so that i could clear cache.
Any idea to solve this issue

Hi Welcome to the forums just to make sure when you went into applications in the settings menu did you switch to the All tab as normally the default tab is downloaded applications if you didn't try this then do so and see if the gallery is located there and if so clear the cache and try again.

You may want to try an alternative gallery app. I'm a fan of the small, powerful, clean QuickPic app. It works very much like common default gallery apps but better.
