Help Problem with Google Play Store

So my phone is rooted and I was uninstalling some bloatware when I accidentally deleted a file necessary to Google Play, and now Google Play opens then imminently closes. I downloaded a Google Play apk, but when I tap 'install' it just says 'app not installed' and does nothing else. Can you help me?

Do you have a nandroid backup?

Do you recall the file you deleted?

What model phone are you using?

Did you install a custom rom?

Let's start there.

It's probably an old version. The current Google Play app is named (oddly enough) velvet.apk.

Or - Play Services or the framework was removed.
