Problem With Launching Apps Automatically .

Hi I have recently updated the software on my Galaxy S3 and since I updated my apps have stopped opening automatically.. For example I could Google a street address and then click on the map that appeared where the address was located and Google maps would open automatically.. Now it just takes me to the mobile app for Google maps instead of launching the actual Map App.. It does the same with youtube aswell. If I Google a video Google would allow me to click the video and ask me weather I wanted to launch my youtube app.. Its not the end of the world but as a frequent user of the maps it would be better if I could get this fixed.. Any help would be very grateful..

Thanks..

John.

you should be able to go into settings>app associations and look at what the default apps for maps locations and youtube links are... let us know if that works. Not sure exactly where in settings it is on your GS3 (i have a HOX) but let us know if that works.

It sounds like you may have set your browser as the default for those actions, what you need to do is bring up your browser in the app manager and clear defaults. This will clear any of the defaults that you have set previously for that app. Then, when you select that action again, you can set the default you want.

Sorry guys.. Both didn't work.. Firstly when I go into settings there is no 'app associations' there is only app management.. When I go into either the browser, please youtube or maps the clear default option is blocked out so I presume it doesn't have a default.. My mate has an S3 and his does the exact same.. Its very strange and completely did my head in last night tryner resolve it haha..
