Problem with linking phone by bluetooth to car

Hi,

I have a new Huawei Honor U8860 running Android ICS v4.0.3.

I have managed to connect it to my car by bluetooth but it only has limited functionality - I can make calls and see phone book but that's it. With my previous phone (Nokia N97) I was able to read SMS messages for example.

On the phone I have gone into Bluetooth - Advanced Settings to see if there is an SMS option, but I can only see items for OPP (Object Push), PBAP (Phonebook Access) and Test Mode - all of which are on; but no other options.

Any suggestions as to how I can get access to SMS and email on the phone via my car's bluetooth?

Many thanks for help.

I have galaxy s2 and s3 and with my car it helps when I Kill the pbap service, then everything works. only problem is when you relaunch bluetooth, it restarts again automatically...
