Help Problem with Locked Screen!

Hi,

I have an S3, and i have a password on my main screen, using the keyboard.

Now, by itself, i cannot type my password, i get the voice command, (even though i did not activate the voice command nor ever did) and it's not even working!

I set the voice command on "Open" or "help" or "password" and nothing happens.

I can receive calls and i can hear the emails and messages that i receive.

Also, when i click on the restart button , it opens and gives me if i want silent mode or to restart or to shutdown, BUT NO KEYBOARD!

No, i was just using it, playing games, then closed the game, locked it, then wanted to unlock it later and had this problem.
 
This might be a last resort option

Power off your phone.

Press vol up + home + power to boot into recovery.

Press vol down to scroll the menu list

Highlight wipe data / factory reset

Press home

This should revert your phone to an "out of the box" > condition.

First, you shouldn't have a keyboard on the restart menu, so that's not an issue. Were you able to restart or shut down? I'm assuming that if you were able to that it didn't fix the situation. If you were not able to do either, pull the battery, leave it out for a minute or so, put it back in, and restart the phone.

The long press power button menu I believe
 
ok, sorry, i m not such a technical person LOL

when i press the button on the right (shutdown button) it gives me all the options needed (shutdown , data network mode, airplane mode, restart)

Also, i can see on my screen on the top, if i have messages , emails, calendar notes, etc..

BUT, when i press on the screen to unlock using the unlock password, i only get a microphone which says "Listening"

even though i do not have the voice recognition on.

Let's see if we can go step by step so we can narrow the issue a little.

From a black screen
Press home button
Slide to unlock (padlock icon where you tap, and move finger to the edge of the circle OR just slide the slider)
Pin/password/voice screen
Enter pin/pass/voice
Phone unlocked and home screen appears? (obviously not as yet for you OP)
 
Normally
From a black screen
Press home button
text box where i can type my password, then i click the text box and a keyboard appears.

NOW
From a black screen
Press home button
text box where i can type my password, no keyboard appears, only a microphone thingy that says Listening and a Done Button below.
I say all types of commands and press done, and it says waiting for results, and then back to a black screen :D
 
Try long pressing in the text box and see if you get anything like input method come up that you can click on
 
Can you swipe down the notification bar on that screen? If you can, under the Ongoing section should be an option to "Select input method". Select that and try changing keyboards.
 
I take it tapping "done" takes you back to the black screen?

Does tapping on "English (us) do anything?
 
when i press English i get
Select a dictation Language
English US
Add more languages And when i press that i get nothing, and it takes me back to the main black screen
 
Sounds like a factory reset Tbh, unless a geek in a store can fix it without doing a full reset?
 
I've been trying to tackle this from the other way for half an hour now: Namely, trying to find what was changed to cause this. So far, I have not had any luck.

Face+Voice has the fairly obvious face unlock part. I've been trying to do various keyboard settings as well as accessibility such as speak passwords.

Nothing I have found results in the mic only on the lockscreen unfortunately.
