Help Problem with my Galaxy S3

Hey guys, hopefully someone here can tell me what is wrong with my phone

Basically i cannot make any calls or texts with my phone, when i try to make a call it comes up "not registered on network" this only started happening yday

I can use the internet, maps etc without wifi so it is just a calling/texting problem i have

Also my sim works in my brothers iphone 4 so no problem with the sim

I contacted o2 who have said that there is no problem at their end, my account is not barred, the IMEI of the galaxy is fine, so there are no restrictions

I have done a full reboot of the phone and also made sure airplane mode isnt on

I just dont know what is wrong with my Galaxy S3

Try doing a factory reset with the SIM inside the phone. This will reset the phone to factory settings and may get the phone to work with the SIM.

Done this at least 5 times, and it doesnt work! When i try and make a call its the same thing

Also iv tried my sim in my brothers iphone and it works

Gonna try his sim in my Galaxy to see if his works

I'd ask O2 for another SIM, say yours is faulty. If that doesn't work return the phone.

But if my sim works fine in another phone does that not mean its working??

Try going to Settings - Wireless and Networks - Mobile Networks - Network operators and then either Search Networks to select the carrier you are with or Select automatically to see if that makes a difference.

Also make sure the Network mode is also on auto (or GSM/WCDMA)

If there's a warranty go to service center. I read some discussion on other sites, I don't if this is a bug, but they have some problems as yours. There's an instance it was replaced by new one and still with same problem.

I have heard of some Sims having errors in only certain phones.

I think swapping the simple ix worth a try. I iv it ix unlocked, and you can also try someone else's sim card.

I have experienced some of the same problems you have... I am now reverting back to iPhone.. after trying two different s3's

I have samsung galaxy s3, if my mobile remains idle for few hours, and after i try to call someone, it shows an error saying "Not registered on mobile network". And when i I restart my cell, its start working. and same thing happens after few hours. I have done Factory data reset twice but still the problem persists. How to solve it?

Is your above mentioned issue solved ? I am facing exactly the same issue on galaxy grand GT-I9082. Please if you can help!
