Help Problem with new SD card

I have inserted a brand new 32 GB sd card into my sony tablet S. I can see it via file manager on the tablet. However when I connect my tablet to my PC running windows 7 , I can't see the SD card only see the internal memory. Do you know what is wrong?
What is the best way to load avi files into the SD card so that I can watch them.

Why not just slide the SD card into your PC and load the files that way? Then insert it into the tablet.

Because you have to keep opening that little crummy door on the Sony!
