Help Problem with notifications

When my android is locked i don't get notifications from an app (kik messenger) I have to go into the app to check for messages and because it is similar to msn it's very frustrating to do that. My wifi setting isnt set to sleep when phone is locked, i have good signal strength, no app killers etc. Any suggestions? Im running android 2.1 and I'm new to androids so phone isn't rooted etc. Thanks so much if anyone could help

Why not try PingChat it's free and it works on other platforms, example iPhone to BB to Android and vice versa.....

Just a thought may be worth a go??

This Notifies whilst the Fone is in Sleep/Lock mode.

My Dad has it on his San Francisco and I have it on my iPhone!!

Ive noticed my wifi goes off when its asleep for a while...dont suppose there is a reason? maybe a program im using like juicedefender?

I believe it's an issue with the sleep policy on the phone that the manufacturer, ZTE, are aware of.
You could try using 'Wifi Keep Alive' from the market. I've not used it myself but have read of other San Fran owners successfully using it
