Help Problem with S3?

When not in use, the screen on my S3 lights up randomly for no apparant reason and then goes off again. any ideas whats up?

It usually happens when you receive an email or text.

the screen keeps flashing on and off and even when there is no notification of an email etc.....it does this five or six times and stops for a while then it starts again

I wonder if it has anything to do with the screen brightness or that 'face' recognition thing.

Try turning off auto brightness, or even restarting the device, and see if it still happens.
