Problem with SD Card and music files

Hello, I've been recently trying to download music into my smartphone. I own a Moto G4 Plus and I bought an 32GB original SanDisk card that I formatted as Internal Memory (Android 7.0). These are my questions:

Upon connecting my phone to my PC and choosing "Transfer Files" instead of just charging, my computer shows me a window that says "Internal Shared Storage" with a total space of 10.9 GB, of which 4.20 GB is now occupied.

How do I put music into my phone from my computer somewhere that's not its Internal Storage?

If the storage is 'shared' isn't it supposed to show the internal storage of the phone plus the 32GB of storage from the SD Card?

Is the formatted SD Card only good for storing apps? 'Cause that's the only thing currently getting in there it seems.

Thank you very much for you guys' help, in advance.

Once you've formatted your microSD card as internal storage (adoptable) it essentially becomes added into the your phone's internal storage file system. It's completely managed by the operating system and you, the user, no longer have direct access to the card's contents. If you go into your phone's Settings >> Storage you should still see both your actual internal storage and your card listed, but connecting to a computer won't be as revealing. Once formatted as adoptable a microSD card changes from FAT to ext4, the file system your phone's internal storage uses, so both are in parity. Also it gets encrypted with the encryption key tied solely to your phone, so your computer not only won't be able to detect the card (presuming you're running either Windows or Mac) because it's formatted with a different file system, the card itself is encrypted.
As for adding things like audio files to your card, again you simply don't have direct access to the card specifically when it's adoptable. The OS itself has complete control on what does or doesn't get stored on the card. Just store your files where you normally do. If you want to re-purpose your microSD card back as removable, external storage, you'll need to reformat it again to 'Portable'.

If I got you a question correct you need to store your music on your device using your SD card as storage but it sounds as if you have ran out of space and you need to put it somewhere else on your device. There are only two places on your device where you can store your music. One is in the Internal Memory of your device and the other is on your SD card storage. Now if neither one of those places you want to store your music considering that they're the only two places that exists on your device you will have to store anything. Now the best option is to compress your files so you have more space on your SD card to store more stuff and in your Internal Memory Storage for that matter. ZenUI file manager is good for doing just that. Now If you choose another options you may have to store your music outside of your device like in Google Drive or Dropbox Etc.
