Help Problem with Skype - can anyone help?

I have just bought a Wondermedia WM8650 for the purpose of using Skype. Skype was preloaded but when I try to use it I get a message saying I need to input my Skype Internet Number which I don't have and don't see why I would need one.

I tried unistalling skype and downloading it again through Market but have not been able to do this as I can't get my gmail account to recognise the tablet as one of my devices. Can anyone help please?????

SKYPE IS NOT SUPPORTED ON THE WM8650. EVEN IF YOU CHANGE ROM WHICH YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU WONT TO USE THE DEVICE OTHERWISE THE MARKET WONT WORK AND YOU CANT INSTALL ANY APPLICATION TO IT. i SUGGEST THAT YOU LOOK FOR THIS ROM Universal_Uberoid_WM8650_v10.1. VERY EASY TO INSTALL THEN YOUR TABLET WILL NE A JOY TO USE IT. BUT NO SKYPE UNFORTUNATELY.

Hello, it works Skype (BETA) Version 1.0.0.5, but only for chat. I use it!

Or You can use IMO messenger on market for multiple chat accounts including Skype... but unfortunately there is no way of using Skype video call on this device
