Root Problem

SO im attempting to root my Samsung Intercept, which as far as ive seen has the same drives as the moment. I plug it in to the USB port while the phone is running. Everything works great. I go through the steps on SWupgrade, and it begins... i click next through all steps following each step carefully. I plug the phone back in when asked, and i get an error. For some reason the same USB port that recognized my phone on, does not in this "downloading" mode. Therefore the device will not connect and im forced out of continuing my attempt.

what should i do?

check to see if USB debugging is on or off. That is usually the problem.

and no, the intercept is not anything like the moment.

So my personal advise, ditch whatever efforts you are attempting to do and root the intercept following the intercept process.
I can only imagine the kinds of problems you would have attempting to install a moment rom onto an intercept.

I finally got it Rooted last night, my confusion was that all the rooting files were all labled "moment" on every youtube video i used. But despite the misconception.... i finally got it and couldnt be happier.
