Since spending some time on dodgy Moscow airport my Tab 3 has issues charging. Since I bought my Tab in Asia I cant use the power adapter that came with it. So I use the original cable but with a different adapter.
When I plug it into a socket, while switched on, nothing happens. The battery icon just remains its normal self.
When I plug it into a socket, while turned off, the screen brightens up, still black, the battery doesn't appear, and the screen goes solid black again after a second, a second later it brightens up again for a second. It just keeps going from black to pitchblack.
When I plug it into a USB port it starts charging instantly, with the red x in the battery, taking ages to charge.
I read quite a few other posts of people who said to have solved similar issues by disconnecting the battery. I opened my tab up, dis- and reconnected the battery. But it hasnt solved anything.
It looks like the battery life is still solid by the way. There is just no way of charging it, apart from hooking it up to a pc for 5 hours.
Could it have been a bad socket at the airport? Or is there another way of saving this battery. The Tab is only three months old and I am not really looking forward to changing to a Chinese battery.
Any help is much appreciated.
Stefan
