Root Problems connecting to my Moment

I'm trying to root using the one click method but my PC won't recognize the phone. Its running windows 7 64bit, the phone is firmware 2.1 update 1, Kernel is 2.6.29

I am new to this and have searched around for a solution. Tried restating, debug, Pda Net drivers. Anything I've been able to find with no luck. Its really irritating. Last thing I broke into was a PSP. Any Ideas? Windows doesn't even notice the damn thing, so I get the device not found error.

theres a way to flash everything through your phone and sdcard i had did it that way cause you need the actual samsung usb cord thats why it wont recognize it

Does anyone know how to do this? I am trying to root a device however, SW upgrader is not recognizing it.

To clarify, the port isn't being detected no matter what usb port i plug into.
