Hi my names Gav, I am new to the whole rooting thing, but after much reading I got it done. My problem I was hoping I may get some help with is as follows.
I have an HTC desire and I kept running out of internal storage despite shifting all my apps to my 8GB sd. I have deleted all the pre installed rubbish i didn't want and still I was left with over 100mb taken up internally. After a bit of reading I first did the thing with the sdk and the pm setInstallLocation 2, that didn't work. So I made a partition of 2GB and installed link2sd.
Now If an app is installed on the sd and I then choose to link it, it moves it to my phones memory, if i move it phone memory and then choose to link it, it only frees up a little bit of space not the full size of the app. Also when linked, I still have the option to move to sd! It's driving me nuts. I hope I explained that ok, it's quite confusing.
