Problems running Angry Birds on Apad - advice appreciated :)

Hello everyone,

I am a new Android 2.1 user with a apad e7001 (Hiapad701). I installed Angry Birds from the android market yesterday. When I tried to play it I noticed that the menu options and text were shown as large white blocks. The game itself worked but whenever a menu option, a loading screen, or text of the birds came up, there was only a white block where text and menu icons should be. I am having a hard time playing because I don't know what the menu options are.

I tried reinstalling the game with the same results. Any help is very appreciated.

Basically you need no options to play the game. The only thing in the options is a mute button and an info icon for credits to the makers of the game. Just fling the birds... :).

I know, I know. Women have to know all the details before they can make a decision ;). Just play the game :)

I am still wondering why I am getting the white patches. Is this a known issue like an incompatibility or something wrong with my new apad? Here are the specs:

That's where you lose me :) Too many details ;)
Maybe send a note off to the developers of Angy Birds. Keep in mind they just had millions of downloads, so there may me quite a few questions they are fielding right now.
