Problems starting and stopping a service

I'm trying to use Tasker with Open Mic+. What I'm trying to do is turn open mic+ on when my display is on, off when display is off. This is doable. Unfortunately, open mic+ mucks up my phone's microphone during phone calls. I need to know how to use tasker to shut open mic+off at the start of a call and turn it back on one the call is finished. BUT, I need it to stay off and ignore the display on/off tasks while in a phone call. Any help is much appreciated. :)

I would use variable for the phone state "off hook" and "idle" this would then become an additional context for your mic app to be influenced by, is screen on makes mic app turn on but also when phone good"off hook" this turns mic app of in the same way screen off does

I'm only have a basic understanding of tasker. That's my problem. I need it to prioritize as so:

1.) In phone call = open mic off, both display tasks disabled
2.) No phone call = display tasks enabled

When I use the phone idle->open mic on, it mutes my phone during a call. I tried the not call any-> open mic on, and my phone stopped receiving calls. Going to noodle around some. Thanks for the continued help. :)
