Problems while in a call

Well I found the phone acts differently when engaged in a voice call and not to my liking. Two things I noted.

1) no matter your screen timeout you have set when you are in a call it gets set to just a few seconds. If I need to grab some notes elsewhere on the phone constantly hitting menu to re-engage the screen gets old fast.

2) While I was on the call obviously I can't use edge but I assumed I could use WiFi. I noticed it was disconnected so I went to connect and I couldn't pull an IP. I thought oh great my linksys died again. But when I got off the call I could pull an IP. I retested it while connected and I could use the web but the screen timeout was killing me and if I shut it down and tried to restart it no good, no IP.

Keep that in mind if you are on a call and you say to your caller "just a sec let me look that up" you might have a hard time!

Could some of the people on this board try and verify on your phones the same thing.

In response to your first problem. I believe that the screen timesout so that there isn't any accidental screen touches as you hold the phone up to your face. Not everyone holds the phone to their ear, but some people still do.
