Problems with Desire

I recently downloaded Google+. I had 23 mb left so I thought it would be ok. It downloaded fine but when it went into the installation, it ran out of memory and stopped. Now I have a message saying low on space. If it didn't install, shouldn't I have my 23mb left? I assume it downloaded and is on the phone, but I can't find a way to delete it. It's not listed in my app list. How do I get rid of this? Is there a cache that temporarily holds these downloads before they get installed?

Thanks for any help

I usually get low memory notification when under 30mb left, you've probably gone under 30mb with app data so not had the notification but as soon as you try to install something it wont let you, try moving something to SD card or removing something 1st

Right, but if G+ downloaded but didn't install, it won't be listed in the apps but is still taking up space. Where do I find that downloaded file to get rid of it since it won't install?

Market apps download to data/local/download, this is cache memory which is separate to system memory so deleting files from here won't free up any space in system storage

Baffles me. When downloaded, It took up space on the phone but didn't install and is still taking up the space. It's not listed in the app list and not able to uninstall from the market.
