Problems with Gmail 2.3.3

Lurker
I have recently upgraded my Motorola to 2.3.3 and all seems fine except for a nagging problem with Gmail. If I receive an email that has an asterisk in the name, the asterisk is displayed as &#39. Another words if Sam's sends me an email the display name will show as Sam&#39s. It looks like it is doing an ascii conversion of that character since the ascii representation of ' is 39. Not quite sure why its prefaced with &# though.

Not really a big deal, but I would like to clean it up if possible. Is there a character set setting or option that I need to enable to avoid this issue.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi everybody,

I join you in asking the same question to the community. I just had the same problem, in addition this makes impossible to me to check and reply to my emails, it's awful...

I am running version 2.3.5.2. I just checked and that is the most current version. Do I need to back down a version if that's even possible?
