problems with google play

Hallo,

I have a bunch of problems with the Google play website.I have an android xperia x8 phone with firmware 2.1 - update 1. I have the android market application installed on the phone but when i try to download any application through my wi-fi connection, the download is always unsuccessful.I tried to download an app from the google play website but when i get in the site I receive a security warning that says that the site name does not respond to the certificate name.I ignore these warnings and try to download an application but my attempt is again unsuccessful since i get this message :

Have you tried wiping the data and cache from the Google Play app and then rebooting your phone?

I tried everything and finally i reseted the phone to its factory settings and everything is ok now..
