I have had many problems with this phone (such as its battery life, broken connections, unreceived text messages, etc.) and have been slowly working out each problem one by one for these past few months. I should also point out that this is my first smartphone, so I may be unfamiliar with a lot of common problems. However, one problem that I absolutely can't figure out is the "People Application." I want to be able to send group text messages, and it appears that the only way to do that on this phone is through this application. I have synced this with contacts from my gmail account. Now, I can access this application fine up until I actually select the option "Send group mail," then this message pops up:

The application People (process com.android.thccontacts)has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. [Force Close]
I'm honestly not sure what could have been the cause of this. I have already read every single available post concerning the "People App", and many have said the same thing. I've tried doing the factory reset, taking out the battery, removing mp3 files because of possible file corruptions, syncing the phone, and closing the application&clearing the data. Nothing has worked! Well, perhaps the only thing I haven't quite done was the ROM process or Rooting, but that's because I don't quite get the concept of it, and I have little faith in those maneuvers. So my question is ultimately: Is there another way of being able to send group text messages? And if there isn't, is there a way of getting the People Application to work properly?
