Help Problems with memory card

Hey. I bought a new _cheap_ SDHC card online, 32gb... When I put it in my phone, the phone gets pretty slow while there's a notification saying "Preparing SD card" "Checking for errors."

Now it stays there for a long while and the phone gets very hot... Is the card defect or is there something that can be done?

Never buy cheap SD Card. Anyway, you could try another microSD to check whether its your microSD card that is the problem.
