Help problems with messaging

hello um im new at this i bought a huawei m835 like 3 weeks ago and i been trying to send pics through messaging it goes though well the person get the pic right away but when the person sends a pic to my phone i got to wait from 1-2hrs to get it why is that?

Is there a way to get the pic faster?

could anyone help me i would really appreciate it thank you.

I wish I could help you but I just purchased the same phone and it's making me crazy, I went to apps trying to download the barcode app and it keeps asking me to login, there's no place to login!!!I'm logged into the forum but cannot get any apps. I feel stupid because I can't believe I can't find a way to login. It shouldn't be this annoying. Can anyone out there help? I sure would appreciate it. Thanks

are you on metro pcs ,i know on metro txting takes it own sweet time i txt someone at 6 pm and they got it at 3 am, so you should try again .Ill have someone send me a pic and see how fast i get it

If it takes 1-2 hours after you lets say bought it without tampering, besides the occasional app installed, its Metro's service, in small words, your provider's side.

I've had to resend several text messages and those with attachments...well, I never bother to anymore, its a pain in the ass.

when i download from my computer with the market it send it right to my phone. I still have to be logged in on my gmail to download if not i cant get any apps, same thing on amazon. Havent tryed any other sites yet

I'm trying on my computer, it's a much bigger screen and thought it would be easier (right). I can get the apps off my phone but metro only has a few I would want but having a hard time getting them off of other app sites on the computer. Thanks

Metro only runs 1x and 4g so us 1x users are screwed.
Texts take forever to receive and sometimes wont send.

Getting apps works fine through market.android.com on PC but having your wifi on will make them download much faster.
Metropcs apostle are not worth buying.

Add insult to injury, some if not, majority, of users will be stuck with 1X, permanently.

In certain areas of certain cities Metro has 3g. See the links below. I live in Jacksonville and while I don't have 3g at home, I do have it while at work. Reports in other cities show some 3g speeds but they are capped.

Since this is very hit-or-miss in just a few cities, Metro won't wanna advertise it, and that's why the lackluster employees at the neighborhood Metro store will state otherwise.

The prl was updated to 3020 for use of 3g. I uploaded it for people to do a manual upgrade in the Optimus M threads.

Check that out first mate, see how some Ascends have 1x and others have 3G.

His phone is definatly 3G, I'll see if I can convince him to let me 'see it' so I can do a speed test and take screens. It was 1X after we updated his PRL, and of course, I rooted the thing and removed a crap load of apps. (I'm missing some apps that I can't get rid of because I can't find them, nor can I figure out which is which.)

He's on Metro, I can guarantee that.

It feels like Metro's hit and miss strategy is NOT going to end good for us, the consumers.

I need to figure out how to update my PRL, manually, or something, the *228 is not working for me, worked for my two co workers, one with the M835 and the other with the Ascend, they are both running the little 3G.

Not fair.

I have an Optimus M, and I travel between two cities Stockton, CA and Lodi, CA. In Stockton I get 3G, and in Lodi I get 1X.

So for me at least, I can confirm its the area, and not the phone. I haven't done anything special to my phone.

Also, before you get too disappointed about not having 3G, I have done a speed test on both, and it really isn't any different. I get less than 200kbps on both.

I'll try to get a speed test done when I can, I tested something today, we both stood next to each other, restarted our phones.

My phone came up first. (Custom ROM). His came up a bit slower, but still fast.

We both launched Youtube. Mine took nearly 2 minutes to fully play this video. The All-American Rejects - Move Along - YouTube His, a little under a minute.

Yet my phone, it takes less time to open up and close things, his, a bit of a 'lag'. Its not fair, my phone's faster but slower in Data, yet his is the exact opposite.

I'm running 1xRTT, he's running EvDo Rev A or something. If you can post some speed test charts, I'd love to compare them with you. I find it strange however, about the areas, that would rely on your PRL wouldn't it?

I live in JAcksonville too - the store on San Jose sold me this M835 to replace my Ascend, which I loved, but dropped it and cracked the screen. I HATE this new phone! I can't navigate it, the keyboard is too small, I can't read the emails. And it just stops and says "hello hello hello wireless for all" for no reason that I can tell. I can't play words w/friends, it's not on the market now for this phone. Metro won't take it back, told me I'd get used to it. It's been 2 weeks and I hate it more each day. I'm now considering going to Sprint for $69 a month and getting the EVO HTC 4G for $99. Or do I stay w/Metro and get the LG Optimus? I like the $50 unlimited everything, but t his phone makes me want to stomp on it.

If you're going to leave Metro, than nearly any phone from other providers will beat this.

The LG Optimus has had a lot of problems I hear, if you want to get the best from Metro, maybe look at the Samsung Craft or the Samsung Indulge, you'd get the 4GLTE, still crappy but better than what we're getting.

The M835 is in no way an 'upgrade' from the Ascend, new features, a little bit upgraded hardware but....pile o junk.
