I am the proud new owner of a Samsung Stratosphere and I already received my contact backup data as well as linking my facebook account to my phone. A majority of the contacts I use were not restored by backup sync but I got them back by receiving the contact information from facebook.
Now this is the real problem, when I type in a name to the destination/phone number area of a text message I do not get the persons name or number. it is as if the phone itself does not recognize them as being in my contacts. I can select the contact by using the "contacts" function in the "To" section of the message, but when they are selected it is still only a number, not a recognizable name.
understandably, this makes holding conversations with friends and co-workers difficult and i would appreciate any help in the matter. I am leaving for a robotics competition tomorrow and will urgently require a fix.
