I seem to be having a few issues with photos on my new G4 - both taking them and using the Google Photos app and inbuilt Gallery app.
First off, on any other Android I've had, it doesn't matter which way up the phone is held, it knows which way is up. By this, I mean that when held in landscape orientation and taking a photo, when viewing the picture later it will automatically display the picture correctly, not upside down or anything like that. But, it seems to be difficult to tell which is the correct way to hold the phone as there is always "upside down" writing on the display for the camera functions.
Which then takes me on to the second issue. When viewing photos in Photos or Gallery (the only two photo display apps I have installed) it won't auto rotate. So it will always display a landscape picture in portrait mode with black bars at the top and bottom, and referring to the problem above, will also display them upside down if I wasn't holding the phone the correct way when taking them.
Is there a solution to these annoying problems? I've never had a phone before (and I've been with stock Nexus and manufacturer overlays like Sense and TouchWiz) that has taken or displayed photos this way.
What am I doing wrong??!
