Root Problems with Root, Admire 2.3.6 HELP!! PLease!!

I followed the steps for 2.3.6 root and everything loaded smoothly. I tested the root with Root Checker and Terminal Emulator and results come back rooted. When I try to use TIBU or Busy Box app messages tell me phone is not rooted, then the phone gets de-rooted as per Root checker and Terminal Emulator. After I turn the phone off and pull the battery turn phone back on I test with Root checker and Terminal Emulator and phone shows it

I've read alot of your posts and find your input highly credible and informative, thanks for your help.

While troubleshooting I tried what you recommended but still Busy box doesn't recongnize root while at the same time Root Checker and Terminal Emulator show I am rooted.

I personally can't say as I've never used busy box like that. Only the one that's included with tibu

I have the same phone. Im new to the android phone but this is what i would do. go back to stock ff18 get it form the samsung web site. then use killah_beans15 this guy writes good roms I don't have link a but search this forum and you'll get what you need. hope that helps

Hey, installed cwmr 2.0.5.7. I downloaded Samsung Admire 2.3.6 ROOT zip. I booted into cwmr. I installed zip from sd card. I chose apply updates from sd card and it always says indtallation aborted. Any advice?

re-download the root.zip it might be corrupt.

You aren't supposed to use the apply updates from sdcard option. Just install zip from sd card and then choose the root zip and then just reboot
