Hi all,

I have a GS2 and have done for 7 days now, Ive been having problems with it though basically....

My battery usage for my screem is between 60-90% this is destroying my battery. I contacted my network where i got the phone off and they have replaced it. Im running completely standard stock rom

kernel 2.6.35.7-I9100BVKH2-CL453351

I dont want to flash the rom or anything like that its just pi$$ing me off. i need a phone thats going to last more than 6 hours.

I have changed all the settings on the screen, set it to auto brightness, turned all animations off ect ect.

Would anyone have any ideas please im begging you. If i cant resolve this by tomorrow it looks like I will have to have an iphone and i really dont want to

There must be something running that is sucking the juice out of the thing. Have you checked the Task Manager to see what is runing.

I get 2-3 days out of it on light usage (txt messages, few phone calls, some Facebook, internet, etc) and if I use it heavily I get a day so the battery generally to me seems ok.

Ive tried everythin, Ive installed advance task killer and every time i lock the phone i kill the tasks in task manager. Im having the same problems with my new one. I even have the extended battery and ive killed 25% sending a few texts and making one call.

Turning auto brightness off will save you a bit of power. Other things like turn off auto sync when you don't need it, don't set screen brightness above 50% (personally I have it less than that and it looks fine), and turning off haptic feedback will save power. Killing all the running apps before you luck your phone may actually be doing you more harm than good as the phone will use power to open allot of them back up.
