Root Problems with 'su'

i have a droid x, i rooted my phone. everything worked fine. then i got updated. phone rebooted now nothing rooted works. i try to run something rooted and it says 'su check failed' or 'barnacle requires 'su' to access hardware'. so i'm guessing its a SU problem. do i need to update the SU file. because i've tried that. maybe my superuser is bad? please help.

Sounds like the update closed your root access.

Try downloading z4root and rerooting your phone.

First time I have heard of a succesful OTA when the phone was rooted. Had you removed any of the bloatware.

Mine updated successfully and I was rooted....I had renamed bloatware,I went in and renamed it all back,removed bootstrap recovery and got the OTA to 2.2.340. Problem was once I got it,I couldnt get root back,tried for 2 days,z4root didnt work,neither did terminal emulator method...finally had to SBF the TBH 2.2.320.I was trying to avoid that in the first place...

I was one of the first to update to the OTA 340 and was rooted, but had to reroot after.

I got the ota update and was rooted, lost root and tried z4 root with no avail.

Got it needed the 1.2 version
