I have rooted my Sonic (u8652) and am using the stock rom. I haven't installed CWM or CM7 yet. I have verified super user privileged. I have installed the Wifi Tether app that has worked on so many of my other devices.
It does make a hotspot but when I try to connect from Windows (have tried 2 xp machines, vista and 7) it says it's a computer to computer network and won't connect.
