Probs with K9 Mail and Windows mail

Hi,

I have K-9 Mail on my Samsung Galaxy S2 - I have set it up to link to my Virgin email account (pop3), etc. and it seems to work fine - sending and receiving new emails.

At home, I use Windows mail.

When I'm out and about I like to pick up emails BUT it seems that when I get home and log onto Windows Mail they aren't pickup by that program. I have looked on the Virgin webmail and the are still on the server and are shown as unread.

Not sure if this is relevant but the message on the top bit of the phone says "Virgin:Inbox (synching disabled)".

If I reply to myself from the phone that email is later picked up by windows mail.

Help much appreciated.

Mike
ps the standard phone app worked fine except that it deleted emails from my server when I deleted them from the phone (Windows Mail seemed to work fine tho'). I couldn't find how to stop them being deleted on the server.

Have done this and the emails stay on the server - but can't be picked up by Windows mail.

Perhaps if they are picked up by the phone - they are somehow marked and won't be picked up by Windows Mail, ie only picked up by a device (phone or pc) once???????????

Hmmm...If set to 'Never delete from server' that's exactly what should happen.

For me, the standard email app, K9 and Enhanced Email all have worked perfectly for several email accounts from different domains. Neither of your problems at all.

In this case I doubt it's the email app on the phone and I don't know how I can blame Windows Mail (Outlook, yes?) either. It must have something to do with Virgin's email service. Try contacting them.
