Help process.com.android.mms

Every time I try to read a text message I get the message but in 2 to 3 seconds I get a : Sorry! The application Messaging (process.com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. This repeats over and over.
Anyone got a fix for this. I have rooted it and am still operating Android version 2.3.5 Kernel version 2.6.35.7 Hope someone out there can help.

I have the same error. Mine has just began yesterday. I get notification that messages are coming in, but I can't open the messages to read them. I simply get "The process com.android.mms has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. How can I fix this?

Hi having same issue, my silly android must be getting paranoid about all the scans ive been giving it eheehehe.
