Help Process system not responding

Please help. My galaxy screen is just blank. The time shield is visable but I cant do anything. Every so often a message flashes up saying process system is not responding. What should I do?

And where were you doing to get your phone into this state? We also need more information on your phone, root, roms, kernel, etc.
