Would it be possible to set a profile that has the GPS on when 3G is on and the GPS off when 3G is off? If so, could you post inductions on how to set it up. Thanks in advance

The Settings Profile app MAY be able to do what you're talking about. It might be able to set up a profile that turns on GPS only when 3G is available.
