Profile mix up (special character user names)

I do find it strange that the dude has no posts and username with just special characters .

Will doing that grandfather in existing members with special characters in their user name?

Yeah I made the change right when I said that. Basically, it just prevents users from registering a nickname with any special chars in it. Existing are fine.
