Profile only runs manually

Hello All,

I am running the latest version of Tasker on a Samsung Galaxy S8+ (Android 7.01); previously the app was running on a Note 3. It seems like the following profile will only run manually:

Profile: Move BBM Files (226)
Event: File Modified [ File:Pictures/BBM/ ]
Enter: Move BBM Files (227)
<List files in the /storage/sdcard0/Pictures/BBM/
.BBM Process>
A1: List Files [ Dir:Pictures/BBM Match:*.* Include Hidden Files:On Use Root:Off Sort Select:Alphabetic Variable:%listbbmfiles ]
A2: For [ Variable:%listbbmfile Items:%listbbmfiles() ]
A3: Move [ From:%listbbmfile To:Tasker User Configuration Backups/Backups/Tasker Scripts/.BBM Process Use Root:Off ]
A4: End For

This same profile ran with no issues when it was on the Note 3. Can anyone perhaps shed some light on why the above Profile will only run manually on a Samsung Galaxy S8+ (Android 7.0).

In additions, it seems like a lot of my Profiles will are having the same issue; where they ran fine on the Note 3 but will only run manually on the S8+.

Is anyone else having the same issue with their Tasker Profiles?

Thanks,

Vernon

On Droid Turbo 2 running 7.0 ...

The Profile appears to be looking for a specific file name like ...
Pictures/BBM/sample.jpg

It seems to work the way you have it in the next version that is currently in Beta.

Thanks Thom.

Hopefully a new release is coming soon. I have a number of Profiles that used to work automatically now require manual intervention.

I just tried again and ran ...

Profile: Test (180)
Event: File Modified [ File:Pictures/BBM/ ]
Enter: DevE (630)
A1: Flash [ Text:DevE Long:Off ]
A2: Beep [ Frequency:4096 Duration:256 Amplitude:100 Stream:5 ]

... on 4.9u4m and 5.0b5m with no problem on 7,0 (not 7.0.1)

This previous test was on two different Droid Turbo 2 phones. The 4.9u4m failed previously. The only difference the second time is that I had done a Wipe Cache Partition on that phone after thje first test.

You might want to give Wipe Cache Partition a try.
