Profile picture glitch

I've been emailing my friend before, and her profile picture was normal. But then today, it became just a letter, like if you don't have a profile picture... And it probably isn't because she changed it, for one she wouldn't do that and two; she hasn't even responded to any emails all day

I've had that happen every now and again for no apparent reason. It seems to fix itself eventually (the letter/pic part).

I swear Gmail just takes little naps when it thinks no one will notice...

I know one of her other friends who is also my friend, but she never responds to my emails, she only has once.
