Profile Views on this Site

Has anyone here looked at their profile views? I participate in the forums that I own phones for, and I was surprised to see that over 800 people -- or fewer but they clicked over 800 times -- wanted to see my profile. I'm sure that's a modest number; I hope I didn't disappoint any viewers but wow I didn't think people bothered to look at those things...
 
I used to check mine all the time. I always thought it was cool, :o. Think I am sitting at somewhere around 10,000 views. I have seen some well over 20,000 though :)
 
Wow I have had 4k and none of the last 10 were mods...I must be doing something wrong to get in trouble I usually get at least 1 mod view each time I check...

The profile page is pretty interesting for sure...Just wish one would be notified of a visitor message post to your profile(or am I missing something)
One poor guy asked me something that way and I didn't see it for 2 days after:eek:
 
I check mine, but I'm an egomaniac. Which is probably why my avatar has my username written in it... :shrugs:

I pay no attention to it, mainly because I know I have tapped on many usernames by mistake when trying to open threads.
 
I didn't notice until someone drew my attention to it. When I looked to see who was looking at my profile, I noticed it was mostly mods (the person that told me about it told me that most of my visitors were mods). It made me feel like this....

Huh, never noticed that. I'm only at 1100 views. Looks like the last ones were mostly Mods. I think once you start posting in the Politics section, they take a closer inspection of your background ;)

I check the Notifications at the upper right hand corner of any page here to see if I have an outstanding visitor message.

So, let's see - no, we don't profile people for posting in the Political corner (or anywhere else, actually).

We do have rather odd (to many) patrolling habits, because there are such pigs as profile spammers.

Also, not uncommon if you have been in a thread where a pernicious spammer popped up for me to check profiles of good members in that thread to see if any of you were hit with profile spamming, for example. Or to look up your stats to see if you are being hounded in other threads.

And sometimes we'll just visit profiles because we love you. :)

That section sure is a touchy one. ;)

Sometimes I check out users' profiles just because I don't really know them or simply because I think they are nice members. Seeing a moderator's name on your profile isn't necessarily a bad thing. :)
 
Mine's at around 13,500 now, but 13,000 of those were Rush Lindsay trying to get promoted to Guide.

The other 500 are squealing young female fans.

hmm Early has surpassed me in # of recent visitors, lol. I guess that's what happened when you stop being as active with your posting here XD I wonder if Steven has more visitor hits than Early, lol.

A lesson I learnt (and dare not to repeat) is if you're a chick put a cute/sexy/original/mysterious picture of yourself as your avatar. I had a picture of 'Android Girl' as my avatar and I got 6000 visitor hits in 2 days >_>;;; I must say, it felt like I was getting way too much cyber attention than I was comfortable with...so I took my picture down. Though, I still think Android Girl was pretty cool, lol.
 
I guess most of the views come from lurkers, because the last 10 visitors list doesn't seem to get updated nearly as often as you'd expect.
