Profile Views on this Site

Out of curiosity, what do MODs look for when they view profiles? What is it contained there that could throw off red flags?
Also, and this has been probably the hundredth time I've said it, but this is the best mod'd site I've ever used.

Mods have their reasons. ;) Mine is that "View all threads started by" is not in the drop down menu on the user name in a forum post, but it is in the "statistics" tab in the member's profile. That's one reason I look in member profiles.

"View all posts by" is the first thing I look at when assembling the Guide Candidates List, then the threads started by them.

On behalf of the team, thanks!

I think that we would rather not tip our hand futher when it comes to specifics - sorry to be unresponsive but the less spammers can read about our methods, the better it is for everyone here.

I will mention that as the oldest and largest Android users forum, it's often safe to say that we're under hourly attack, so it's important to try to keep a step ahead of them.

Guide staff is highly instrumental in this as well as Mods.
 
Quick side note (topic drift.. but EM started it :p).. speaking of spam. It is picking up again, almost to the point where it was months ago. We're even seeing the big bot ones with Apple crap..I mean products in a big list in bold, etc.

Spam tech = high tech. :mad:
