Help Program removal

How do I remove the apps that came with the phone? Like the weather service and such. I do not have a data plan, and the messages about weather service is not available is getting annoying.

You need to be rooted to do it, as far as I know. Then TiBackup has the required functionality(and many other apps do too).

This isn't a way to get rid of it, but i get around it this way (also no data plan). I use fancy widget, which is a weather/clock widget. I don't see any battery difference from it as i have it set to never refresh and only do it manually when i feel like it. When i turn my phone on, i always go into manage applications and force stop the weather and a few other things. The stock weather app won't bother you this way. Like i said, this doesn't remove it but simple way to not have it running.

I rooted the phone and removed what I didn't want with Ti Backup.
