Programming help views

Newbie
I could use some help with an app I'm working on. I need to know how to control the views and work with which things are in focus. Anyone with decent knowledge that would be willing to help me out should message me. Thanks in advance.
 
A forum like XDA or another development geared forum would probably be the best place to look. Most people here are just consumers of tech.
