Root Pros/Cons to rooting my Optimus T?

Basically, I've been doing some research on rooting my phone and I actually looked through other posts about pros & cons for other Androids, but none for the Optimus T appeared. I'm not exactly sure if I want to root my phone just yet and I hear that rooting the phone is a good idea, but with my luck something might go wrong while rooting. So as the title says, I'm just wondering what some pros and cons to rooting the Optimus T are!

Also, is it possible for me to unroot the Optimus T?

Thank you!

I rooted mine and so far I can't tell of of any cons to it... I was only able to flash it successfully to RevoidOptT. You can overclock the processor, make backups, partition the SD card to save apps onto it (you will run out of internal memory quickly). It runs a whole lot better now. The stock ROM is very laggy and slow... The phone and its performance is a lot better now.

I'm sure there is a way to unroot but not interested. I went back to stock just to make sure I wouldn't regret it... I didn't.

Thank you! I was thinking about rooting my phone, but why do something I don't know much about, right? The memory is running kinda low fairly quickly & it's hard to even take a picture on my phone without constantly getting a notification about my memory being low :/

I rooted my phone primarily to move apps to the sd card. So far that has worked out fine. I use the following process:

LG Optimus T Android version 2.2.2 use gingerbreak (i used v1.20)

BACK UP YOUR PHONE AFTER ROOTING AND BEFORE ANY CHANGES

sd card storing - to move apps to sd card that are listed as "phone only" in App2sd (app that moves apps from internal storage to sd storage) use Titanium Backup to move to sd card. open titanium backup and click the backup/restore tab, press and hold on app you want to move, a menu comes up, choose "move to sd card". (this gets the apps App2sd could not)

pesky preinstalled apps - also use Titanium Backup to "freeze" unwanted apps you dont want to ever use. BE CAREFUL ON WHAT YOU CHOOSE. LEAVE "LG HOME" ALONE. stick with the basics, demo's, app pack, drive smart, car home, memo, messaging, swype, twitter, visual voicemail, wifi calling...

after doing the above my battery lasts more than twice as long.
